Bio:

Weston (Wes) Garton is Program Manager for Spectrum Scholars, University of Delaware’s college-to-career autism initiative. Wes oversees programmatic functions of Spectrum Scholars, including student support, marketing, recruitment, partnerships, training, and more.

Wes has worked with college students with disabilities for over ten years, starting as a note-taker for the Office of Services for Students with Disabilities at West Chester University. From 2016 to 2019, Wes was an Academic Program Coordinator for CLSC, providing academic support and access for students with intellectual disabilities, as well as coordinating innovative summer and pre-college programs. Wes transitioned to Spectrum Scholars in January 2019 and assumed the role of Assistant Program Manager later that year. Since July 2021, Wes has served as Program Manager, and overseen the growth of the program from five students to almost 30 as of 2022. Wes has presented at multiple conferences about autism, inclusion, access, and program development. Wes holds an M.S. In Higher Education Counseling & Student Affairs from West Chester University.

Outside of work Wes loves travel, running, eating, and spending time with his wife. He lives in Kennett Square, Pa.
