Please note that this is exclusively an in-person event.

Join Joann Kingsley, University of Delaware alumna and Voting Rights Advocate from the Disabilities Law Program at Delaware’s Community Legal Aid Society, Inc. (CLASI) to get motivated, inspired, and empowered to vote in the 2024 elections.

At this non-partisan event, learn about the measures Delaware has taken to improve accessibility throughout the electoral process, the recent Delaware Supreme Court decision regarding Early Voting and Permanent Absentee Status, and the federally protected voting rights for people with disabilities.

She will talk about the importance of having a plan, the various voting options available, some possible barriers, and the strategies to overcome them.

Before and after the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Practice using a voting machine.
  • Register to vote or update their registration details.
  • Request an absentee ballot, if necessary.
