Alexis Z. Ambroise
Bio:
Alexis Ambroise joined CDS’s Health & Wellness Unit as their Mental Health Content Specialist in 2024. She has years of professional, educational, and clinical experience in evidence-based mental health care and treatment, human development, and program evaluation, as well as vocational and care management for adults and children with developmental and intellectual disabilities. She specializes in the intersectionality of mental health and disability, especially regarding social determinants of mental health and wellness across the lifespan.
Alexis is also an instructor in the Human Development & Family Science program in the College of Education & Human Development at the University of Delaware. Alexis earned her Ph.D. in Human Development & Family Science and her graduate certificate in Program Evaluation from the University of Delaware, her M.S. degree in Organizational Leadership from the City University of New York – Lehman College, her M.S. degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Molloy University, and her B.A. degree in Human Development from Hellenic College.
In her free time, Alexis enjoys visiting new places to explore their local cultures, histories, and cuisines. She particularly enjoys visiting science, history, and art museums, as well as aquariums, zoos, and botanical gardens.
