Brigid Dux
Bio:
Brigid is an Instructional Coach with the Adapting Curriculum & Classroom Environments for Student Success (ACCESS) project, which promotes inclusive classrooms and accessible curriculum for all students. She supports several projects within the unit including the Universal Design for Learning initiative and Standards-Based IEPs.
Before joining the team at CDS, Brigid worked as a classroom teacher in Dover, Del., and in Fairfax County, Va. She transitioned to the role of an instructional coach with Fairfax County Public Schools, where she partnered with teachers and administration to positively impact student learning. Brigid is experienced in delivering targeted, professional learning opportunities for teachers that are focused on student-centered goals. She believes it is our job as educators to know every student by name and by need so that all students receive the highest quality education, are valued for who they are, and feel like they belong in their school setting.
Brigid lives in Wilmington with her husband and son. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and being at the beach.
