Bio:

Pat Heineman designs and implements emergency preparedness initiatives for individuals with disabilities, their families and caregivers, as well as the community at-large, in collaboration with state and nonprofit organizations. She manages a Citizen Corps grant from the Delaware Emergency Management Agency (DEMA), which includes maintaining the AllReadyDE.org website.

Pat has 19 years of experience in the emergency preparedness field, including work with state and national government agencies, community organizations, provider agencies serving individuals with disabilities and people with access and functional needs. She has conducted preparedness trainings and community outreach initiatives in Maryland, Washington, DC and Delaware, highlighting supports and resources that meet the needs of vulnerable populations, before during and following emergencies and disasters.

Pat holds an M.S. in Health Administration and a B.A. in School and Community Health Education from Towson State University. In addition, she has completed preparedness planning certifications from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP).

Pat lives in Selbyville, Del., and enjoys painting, cooking, long walks and time with her family and friends.
