Communicating with Your Doctor

Being able to discuss your health questions and needs is an important part of your healthcare journey. When visiting with your doctor, it is always a good idea to ask questions and take notes about information the doctor shares.

These resource guides give some examples of questions you can ask during your next visit. These guides also provide space for you to write specific questions you may have for your doctor and to take notes on any information shared.

How do I get to my doctor’s appointment?

It is important to plan transportation, or a way to get to your doctor’s appointment. If you are unable to drive yourself, it may be helpful to ask a family member, friend, or support person for assistance with transportation to your appointment. Public transportation services, like Paratransit, can be another option to consider for traveling to your visit.
