Plans for new Howard T. Ennis School move ahead

At 92,000 square feet, the school will be 40,000 square feet larger than the current school, built 49 years ago on Ennis Road in Georgetown, and close to twice the size of the old school.
The Indian River School District’s board of education unanimously approved Delaware Department of Education’s Certificate of Necessity and architectural design for the Howard T. Ennis School, necessary steps in the construction process. The district superintendent estimated the project could be done as soon as fall 2020.
