The University of Delaware is donating supplies of personal protection equipment from shuttered research labs to the Delaware Emergency Management Agency. The supplies include hand sanitizer, N95 masks, gloves, gowns and other protective gear.

In an effort to curb the coronavirus, Gov. John Carney ordered Delaware residents to stay at home and closed nonessential businesses in the state starting Tuesday at 8 a.m. However, residents can leave their homes for medical care and shop for groceries. The order will remain in effect until May 15, “or until the public health threat is eliminated.”
