John McFall, who lost his leg in a motorcycle accident when he was 19, has been named as one of the newest recruits to the European Space Agency, making him the world’s first physically disabled astronaut.

Eli Larts, a sixth-grader from Newark, was connected to the UD men’s basketball team through TEAM Impact, a national non-profit organization that connects children with illness or disability to college teams. Larts will visit the team during practices and will attend games and community events.
